Tynock National School is a rural school. The school has 73 pupils, three mainstream teachers, a learning support teacher, a resource teacher, a special needs assistant, an after-school assistant and a secretary. The school is newly extended and now consists of three classrooms, two support rooms a staff room, an office, prefab and a large playground.

The school provides healthy lunches for all children each day at no cost to parents. The school runs an afterschool club for infants between 2-4 p.m. each day.

Sport and fitness is very important in Tynock NS. The children receive tuition from external coaches in Rugby, Soccer, Football and Swimming. We also put on a fantastic play in Kiltegan Hall every Christmas.

We are lucky to have an active Parents Association.
